What is a familiarisation visit?
Familiarisation visits target the customers you want to visit your attraction or destination, they allow you to put the spotlight on a place and focus on the message you want to get across to your key customers. Guided tours and familiarisation visits consolidate a place in the mind of the customer – they will remember what they have seen and enjoyed and will hopefully return again with more visitors.
Visits can be anything from half a day to a weekend stay. The length of visit depends on what you want to achieve and who you are targeting.
